Arimi M-cash Terms & Conditions

ONBOARDING

  • One must be a Sacco Member/Account holder and a registered M-Pesa user.
  • Members can register or deregister for the Arimi M-Cash Service by visiting any of the Sacco’s branch, by contacting the Sacco Office on 0111031600 or email at info@nyarimisacco.com
  • The service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Arimi M-cash will only be available to registered users of the service.
  • Arimi M-cash service will send account related information, though not specifically requested, if the Sacco deems that the same is relevant.
  • Services may from time to time be unavailable due to systems maintenance or circumstances beyond our control such as mobile carrier outages.
  • Nyambene Arimi Sacco may without prior notice, suspend temporarily the service at any time during which any maintenance work or repair is required to be carried out or in case of any emergency or for security reasons, which require the temporary suspension of the service.
  • The Sacco also reserves the right to make any additions or deletions in the services offered through the facility at any time.
  • Nyambene Arimi Sacco Society Limited will not be liable:
  • For any unauthorized use of Customers PIN. Error, default, delay or inability of the Sacco to act on all or any of the instructions. Unauthorized access by any other person to any information/ instructions given by the Customer or breach of confidentiality.
  • For any loss (including consequential loss) in connection with Arimi M-cash Service not being available or that a person suffers as a result of relying on information obtained via Arimi M-cash
  • For any disruption or failure of providing mobile telecommunication services by the mobile service provider. The customer agrees that any complaint in connections with the failure of mobile telecommunication services shall be referred to and addressed by the Service Provider.
  • For loss of any information/instruction/alerts in transmission
  • For any errors or damage caused to your mobile phone as a result of using Arimi M-cash
  • By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of Mobile Banking, the Customer accepts the option to use the enhanced options, as and when they are made available by the Sacco, which may include but not limited to making bill payments, transferring from one Account to another. Upon the Sacco offering the enhanced options, the customer shall be advised the fees charged for various options available.

FEES

  • The Sacco may at any time, at its sole discretion, charge a fee for use of any service, under a notice to the customer through any medium available.
  • The Customer shall pay the Sacco fees and charges for the use of the services. In this connection, the Sacco is hereby authorized by the customer to debit any of the Customers’ accounts with the Sacco.
  • The Customer shall be liable for payment of airtime or other charges which may be levied by the MSP in connection with using Pesa Pepe Services, which may be levied by the Mobile Service Provider as per the terms and conditions of the MSP.

USE OF PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN)

  • The customer assumes full responsibility for the security and confidentiality of his or her mobile phone, mobile phone number and PIN to be used in initially gaining access to his or her Sacco accounts through the use of their private PIN.
  • The registered user shall exercise due care and attention to ensure safety of the card and secrecy of the PIN at all times and to prevent the loss of and or use of the card or PIN by any third party.
  • The Sacco is authorized to debit the Arimi M-cash Service registered user’s account with all amounts transacted by means of the Arimi M-cash Service using the PIN.
  • The Arimi M-cash Service registered user must: 
  • Change the PIN immediately on suspicion the PIN is compromised.
  • Not keep any record of it, in written or electronic form nor write it down 
  • Not disclose it to, or allow it to become known to, any person, including family members or those in apparent authority, Sacco staff 
  • Not negligently or recklessly disclose it by, for example, failing to take reasonable care when keying it in to prevent others from identifying it.
  • Lock your Mobile Device or take other steps necessary to stop unauthorized use of Mobile Phone Banking 
  • Notify Sacco immediately if your Mobile Device is lost or stolen, or if you change your Mobile Device or Mobile Device phone number.
